Shelter Problem
Mwambezi village is located 12 km south of Mbala town in Northern Province of the Republic of Zambia, Africa. Mbala region has the highest and most intense rainfall in the country. In as much as rain is a blessing it also poses a challenge to home owners who live in traditional mud houses with grass thatched roofs.
By today's development standard and desired quality of life the quality of homes is very poor so that the homes are not enduring. This is even more serious when the thatched roofs happen to leak.
Solution
Ntungo Noble Projects trains community members in improving shelter building low-cost environmentally friendly houses out of burnt brick and iron sheet roofing.
Goals

- To eradicate poverty by building low-cost houses using environmentally friendly materials
- To eradicate poverty by involving people in low-cost house development
Anticipated Impact
- The people of Mwambezi village are being protected against poverty by having enduring houses.
- Single mothers are having decent shelter and living dignified lives.
